Earth Day Celebration at Sawyer Point
The Cincinnati Reds won’t be the only ones celebrating Opening Day this spring! The region’s first Opening Day on the Trails Challenge will kickoff at at the annual Earth Day Celebration Sawyer Point. We’ll be hosting a group walk at 2pm over the Purple People Bridge into Kentucky, traverse the Riverfront Commons Trail, and return via the Taylor Southgate Bridge (easy route) and the Roebling Suspension Bridge (moderate route). Stop by between 12pm-5pm to register and pick up your Trails Challenge Passport!

National Trails Day Celebration: June 4, 2016
1pm-5pm •Purple People Bridge – Newport, KY
June 4 is National Trails Day! Join us on the Newport side of the Purple People Bridge to celebrate the end of the Opening Day on the Trails Challenge. Finishers of the Trails Challenge can present their Passport to receive a prize and be entered into raffles for larger prizes! Hike and Bike the trails of the Southbank Cities.

As a follow up to the NKY Trails meeting, we plan bringing people together to work on the next steps for achieving Trail Town status for the Southbank Cities at the Southbank Offices at 425 York St in Newport. We’re looking for people with a love of hiking, biking, paddling etc. who would be interested in planning and developing new trails, promoting what we have to offer, or working on events to showcase what the Southbank Trail Towns have to offer!
